Benefit They’re Real Mascara

Not exactly a newbie on the market, Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara has been around for about a year and a half now (released here in Ireland in Aug 2011, or ‘there about’. When choosing a beauty product I don’t always go for the newest product out there, I don’t always rely on reviews either.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara – What People are Saying!

The reviews I have read on They’re Real Mascara have mostly been positive, probably about 95% … which is … positive really. Benefit claim that They’re Real Mascara will help add length and volume to your lashes, will lift and curl them and will last all day. No easy feat I’d say.

The reviews that have been positive agreed with all of these. The negative reviews were from those with flat scarce lashes who felt that the promises of fuller curlier lashes just didn’t happen for them. My lashes are pretty regular in thickness but they do curl naturally so I it’s not an issue I face.

So with my usual mascara finally coming to an end it was time to either restock or try something new and when I was out and about the other week I decided They’re Real Mascara was going to be my choice. At €26.00 it isn’t exactly a cheap buy especially as I wear mascara every day but I was ready and willing to give it a try.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara Review

And so to my review of They’re Real Mascara. Is it beyond belief? Will it become a beauty essential and find a permanent home in my makeup bag? To answer these questions I asked myself some questions.

Question: Is it easy to apply?

Answer: Yes, the specially designed brush makes it easy to apply the mascara, even to the hard to reach lashes. It fully coats them and keeps them defined.

Question: How do I find the consistency of the mascara?

Answer: I’ve applied two coats of mascara when I’ve worn it and it hasn’t turned clumpy with each lash defined well. It dries very quickly which is handy when waiting to apply eyeliner. It’s not handy if you don’t apply the mascara right and have to reapply.

Question: Does it create volume and length?

Answer: Length, yes. Volume, sort of, actually no more than a ‘regular’ mascara.

Question: Does it curl and lift my lashes?

Answer: As mentioned my lashes are pretty curly already but it does enhance and lift my lashes.

Question: Does it last all day and would I recommend it?

Answer: Yes and Yes!

Question: Will it become a makeup essential and find a home in my beauty bag?

Answer: At €26.00 I’m going to see how long it lasts before I have to restock to decide, but for now I’m loving it!
