Yelp & Image Interiors & Living – Dublin Design Night

My Yelp Dublin Design Night in Photo’s

Readers of The Life of Stuff will know that I am both a fan of Yelp Dublin and a member. Last year I was an ‘Elite’ which was great fun and allowed me access to lots of exciting events, This year, now that this first time mommy is a little more agile than her previous heavily pregnant ‘soon to be mommy’ self … I’m looking forward to getting that Elite status back. Anyone can become a Yelp member and anyone can become an Elite. Have a read of how to here.

However the cool thing about Yelp is that even if you don’t reach ‘Elite Squad’ status you can still go to some pretty cool events as long as you show an interest and RSVP.

Yelp & Image Interiors & Living - Dublin Design Night

Wednesday last, September 30th, was one such event – it was Yelp Dublin & Image Interiors & Living first ever ‘Dublin Design Night‘ and I was there, loving every minute of it.

Yelp has teamed up with Image Interiors & Living to bring you the first ever Dublin Design Night. We’re talking cocktails, Meet the Maker events, workshops, & other seriously cool stuff. All for free!!!  Prizes on the night include a €100 voucher from Article, a blooms voucher from Apassionata, and more sh*t cool stuff from each participating shop!

The Line up for the night was …

“IRISH DESIGN SHOP – Sip Jameson cocktails & visit the shop’s normally private workshop

THE GARDEN: Learn how to make a mini-terrarium to take home with you

APPASSIONATA FLOWERS: Make a Tray of Blooms to take home with you whilst sipping floral based cocktails

DESIGNIST: Launch of their new Dublin range with Dublin themed cocktails to boot!

JAM ART FACTORY: Meet Donegal Illustrator / artist Jacob Stack & learn about his creative process

FIND: Visit the vintage & old-school cocktails night!

ARTICLE: Screen-printing Meet The Maker event with Anita and Martin from Clover Rua.

INDIGO & CLOTH: The launch of “Dyflin X Designgoat” with a live projection of the film made for the project and the creators will be on hand to answer any questions

INDUSTRY: Come sample food & drink from Industry’s new cafe & take in tunes by their resident DJ!”

As a lover of all things Irish especially Irish Design … and as a blogger and a freelance writer, I was familiar with the Design Shops involved but I hadn’t been to some in a while so it was great to visit them and see them in yet another light (twilight). It was also great to get some home style ideas, now that I’m going to be a first time buyer (lot’s of firsts for me in 2015!). I visited all nine shops and enjoyed my time in each. I’m looking forward to the next Dublin Design Night but for now here are just some of my favourite photo’s taken on the night, in the order I visited … (click to zoom)

P.S. Guess who’s Instagram photo made it onto IMAGE.ie ?
