Dine in Dublin October 2012, Monday 22nd – Sunday 28th
Dine in Dublin for this season is coming to a close … tomorrow night being the last night of the event. There are some great restaurants involved in the event and all tastes are catered for. It’s a great opportunity to try a restaurant you haven’t visited before or to return to one you loved and you don’t need to break the bank to get involved either as tasting menu’s range from under €10 to over €30, with the most expensive I’ve seen at €45 … which considering the fact that you are getting quality food and service, it’s pretty good value in my books. You can choose from a selection of sample bites in Accents for €5 to a four course dinner at one of my favourite restaurants Trocadero for €35! So if you still haven’t made reservations … get booking!
Restaurants that I have both dined in and can recommend from the list of those involved in the Dine in Dublin experience are; Saba, which is a Thai and Vietnamese restaurant, the Cellar Bar at Pacino’s, which is an Italian restaurant, Mao which is an Asian cuisine restaurant, Ely Bar & Brasserie, which serves classic irish cuisine, Jaipur, which is an Indian restaurant, La Cave Wine Bar and Restaurant, which is a French cuisine restaraunt and Fallon & Byrne, which is a fusion of classic Irish and European cuisine, I haven’t eaten at La Stampa but I have eaten at the Samsara Cafe Bar many times and if their food is anything to go by it’s worth a visit. If you don’t get a chance to visit these restaurants before the event is over tomorrow night, you can always keep them in mind for the next time you get an opportunity to dine out or for the next Dine in Dublin
We’ve booked a table tomorrow for the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill, which will cost €30 for four courses, which is great value! I have dined here before and found the food and wine delicious and the service, quality, so I am really looking forward to returning. When I last visited it was really lovely to bring our drinks outside after our meal and watch the world go by, it’s a bit chilly for that this time round but you never know!
