Foam Cafe
North, South, East or West … Dublin is blessed with having some of the best coffee / tea shops and restaurants around. Not such a secret anymore … a place that I find myself returning to and a place I have introduced both family, friends and colleagues to is Foam Cafe in Dublin 1. It’s just off the Italian Quarter so is quite centrally located should you be partaking in a spot of shopping, either north or south of the Liffey. I brought my sister along on Saturday and once through the doors and past the delicious looking cakes … too, too tempting … it was straight upstairs to the comfy couches, cushions and wacky/kitsch interior decor. Actually the wacky decor is both up and downstairs, along the stairs, in the toilets … it’s everywhere! A living breathing Gallery … some of the paintings are fab!
My sister ordered the scone with fresh cream and jam, I ordered the spinach and feta omelette which came with a gorgeous side salad, we both had coffee. There’s nothing better than having a slouch after eating good food. There’s nothing more uplifting than being surrounded by bright and fun decor … it can really set you up for a day of dashing around the shops like a woman possessed … well it did for us. Tasty food, good customer service, mixed matched china and wacky tacky fun kitsch decor, fantastic paintings … which you can love and enjoy but can leave behind until you return again … it’s a thumbs up from me. For more info about Foam Cafe and their menu’s you can click here for their website.
