Elderflower and Gin Cocktail

 Brunch Refresher at The Cellar Bar

Over the weekend my wife and I went out for Sunday Brunch at The Cellar Restaurant in Dublin. The food was really great and Edwina will fill you in on that in her own post but what caught my attention was the pitcher of cocktail we got to go along with our meal.

They called it a Brunch Refresher, and boy was it good. It consisted of Gin, Elderflower Liquor. Sugar syrup, Soda and Sliced Cucumber, tasty.

I’ve had a think about the recipe and would suggest that if you are making a one litre pitcher to use the following volumes –

4 Shots of Gin
2 1/2 shots of Elderflower Liquor
4 Table spoons of sugar syrup 
5 Big slices of cucumber 
and top up with soda. 

You can mix this around to your liking and even add a few mint leaves but one thing is for sure, it’s going to taste great.
