Bevvy of the Week – Amstel Radler

Amstel Radler

Amstel Radletr & The Life of Stuff

Low alcohol wines and beers are all over the place now and are reporting record sales. People are now starting to see the benefits of these low alcoholic bevvys. There’re cheaper, you don’t have a hangover the next morning and there’s plenty to choose from.

This week I was at an event with my wife where there was free food and free drinks. Unfortunately I was driving so I was unable to parttake in the free booze option. That was until I went to the bar to get my wife a drink and noticed they had Amstel Radler behind the Bar.

I had seen all the ads around town for Amstel Radler and as it’s only 2% alc I thought no better time to try it. That’s try it folks, no drinking and driving represents more than a taste on this blog. Now if I was in a bar I would hardly if never at all order a low alcohol drink but because the night that was in it, it suited me perfectly.

Amstel Radler is Amstel Beer mixed with cloudy lemon. It comes in a 355ml bottle and is just 2%alc. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It’s really refreshing and flavours equally match. You get the nice flavour of the beer and the zesty citrus if the lemon.

This is a great drink for BBQs and if you are out and about and you don’t want to go crazy. In the Off Licence you can pick up a six pack for € 7.99. I couldn’t tell you how much it is in bars as I got mine for free.

Enjoy, Sláinte

Patrick
