Campari
This week I would like to recommend the Italian liqueur Campari.
Campari has been around for a very long time and I first tried it many years ago. Some people would consider it as an aperitif but I like to enjoy it chilled and mixed with some soda and orange juice. For a list of recipe’s you can visit their site here.
It is a bitter liqueur infused with herbs and fruits. It’s blood-red in colour and has lovely flavours of herbs and orange with some floral flavours too. The bitterness follows all the way through to a long lingering finish.
You can pick up a bottle in most Off Licences and it will cost around €25 for a 700ml bottle. ABV is 25%.
Enjoy, Sláinte,
Patrick
