Bevvy of the Week – Peter Lehmann Clancy’s Red – Pure Barossa Wine

Peter Lehmann Clancy’s Red

This week’s ‘Bevvy of the Week‘ is a red wine from the Barossa Valley in Australia called Peter Lehmann Clancy’s. This wine is a blended wine made up of three grape varieties; Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot.

Each of these grape varieties bring something to the table. The Shiraz brings the spice, the Cabernet brings the dark fruit character and the Merlot brings smoothness and structure. This varietal blend is one of my favourite and this Peter Lehmann Red ticks all the right boxes.

Rich and full with loads of dark fruit character. The spice from the Shiraz comes through at the end, while the smoothness of the Merlot is notable throughout.

Great wine and perfect for those meaty BBQ’s.

Peter Lehmann Clancy’s Red is 14.5% abv and should cost around €13.

Enjoy, Sláinte,
