Bevvy of the Week – Masi Campofiorin

Masi Campofiorin

This week I would like to recommend a wine I tried over the weekend. It’s a red wine from the Veneto area in Italy called Masi Campofiorin and it’s a good one.

Masi Campofiorin

Masi Campofiorin is a rich medium to full bodied red. It’s made from three native Italian great varieties, Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella. The wine is made in the Ripasso Style (when the skin and left overs from the Amarone wine are added ) which gives the wine a rich fullness.

It has a deep ruby colour and aroma’s of dark berries which follows through onto the palate and, which come bursting out with every sip, there’s also a bit of cherry and spice there too.

This really is a good one and it will set you back around €15, not too bad.

Enjoy, Sláinte,

Patrick
