De La Punc, South William Street, Dublin 2
In my blog post Five Fabulous Reasons to go Shopping in Dublin City I mention that when in the Temple Bar area of Dublin you should always look up as there are different shops on different levels of some of the buildings there. Well, when on South William Street it is important to look down, as there are lots of shops in the basements of the old buildings there. One such shop is the ‘Cool Boutique’ De La Punc, which is owned and run by Pinky and the gorgeous Gina, who I had a great chat with when I popped in the other day. Personally I love so much of what is sold in the boutique that I wish it was my own personal walk-in wardrobe. De La Punc has been around for the past six months and makes for a great addition to Dublin’s Creative Quarter and to what’s on offer for women who like to wear something a little different and original. De La Punc is in essence a women’s clothes shop which offers clothing, shoes, bags and accessories like jewellery, belts and hats. Most items are sourced from around the world but De La Punc also has a selection of Irish Designers too. Inclusive of these is the talented Anna who designs and makes jewellery and accessories – check out the brilliant collar brooches and Oppa chain below. Lots of the items in the boutique are handmade like the funky collars and the beautiful lace necklaces and earrings. Most of the clothing are once off’s, the satchels are absolutely gorgeous – I’m definitely going to treat myself to one! What is really impressive though is that shopping here won’t break the bank so you get unique quality stuff that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg – suits me fine!
For now to if you want to purchase from De La Punc, you’ll need to call into the shop or buy from their online boutique ‘De La Punc – Toyko Inspired Street Fashion’. You can also connect with De La Punc on Facebook here but for now have a peek at my photo’s below …
