To launch their global e-cig brand, blu eCigs are celebrating in style by hosting a number of free parties in the UK and Ireland. For their free party in Ireland they’ve chosen the DJ loving home of The Twisted Pepper and rightly so because that’s the theme behind their celebrations – the DJing power that brings to the dance floor – Pleasure, Freedom and Pride!
On Saturday 4th October from 10pm Andrew Weatherall and Alle Farben will be taking to the decks and here’s a little info you probably already know about these two, or might find interesting …
Producer and DJ Andrew Weatherall and his unrelenting passion for music across all genres has seen him cemented as a popular figure on the dance music scene since the beginning of club culture in the 1980s right through to modern-day.
A founder of the game-changing record label and magazine Boys Own, Weatherall was at the heart of the acid house scene and was part of the group that shaped the British party culture into what we know and love today.
With a huge back catalogue of original productions and remixes for the likes of My Bloody Valentine and Primal Scream to Paul Oakenfold and Villalobos, Andy Weatherall is sure to bring an eclectic mix of house, electro and techno to Dublin’s dance floor that will keep the party going into the early hours.
Franz Zimmer, more popularly known as Alle Farben, is a Berlin-based electronic dance music legend making waves across the European music scene. Known for blending together different styles and adapting classics into his own unique sound, Alle Farben ensures, without fail, that even the shyest of dancers get involved. (courtesy of blu eCigs)
Not forgetting our own homegrown DJing talent in the shape of Barry Redsetta and the Bodytonic DJ’s who will be there to lift the roof off of the good ol’ peppa.
As the event is celebrating blu eCigs it only makes sense that they will have samples available on the night. Of course if it’s not your thing, it’s not your thing. However for those who’s thing it might be – in the days before the event they will have a sampling bus touring about the city which will open their doors to those wishing to sample and to take …
