MTV – Brand New for 2014

Brand New Unsigned for 2014

Brand New Unsigned for 2014

In the short-ish time that I’ve been blogging, it’s a little over a year now, I’ve interviewed three bands. Not many you may think but considering the fact that two out of these three bands have been nominated for your vote for the MTV – Brand New Unsigned for 2014 competition, I think you should really be thinking to yourself … that gal’s all about quality rather than quantity … you should!

So what’s this Brand New for 2014 malarky all about? Well, it’s exactly what it says on the tin and it’s about promoting the next big thing for 2014. The competition is presented by Armani Diamonds and after public voting and a panel of MTV experts have made their decision, one act will be chosen to join the MTV Official Brand New for 2014 shortlist … so what does this mean? Well it means that the Unsigned Winner will get to appear on MTV, will have a chance to play live in LONDON BABY and will be awarded the ‘coveted spot’ on the Brand New for 2014 Shortlist. Here’s more info …

Now in its sixth year, MTV Brand New is the highly anticipated annual shortlist of artists to watch. In previous years we’ve identified acts such as Justin BieberLady GagaKe$haLana Del Rey, before their debut as well as British artists including AdeleTinie TempahJessie J and Florence + The Machine, who have all gone on to global superstardom’ (mtv.com)

So the question now is who to vote for? Here’s some more info …

We’ve had hundreds of extremely talented entrants this year, which is why we’ve expanded the shortlist to include more talent than ever. You can discover all 530 of them here where you can also vote for your favourite to boost their chance of being granted the coveted final place on MTV’s Brand New for 2014 list …’ (mtv.com)

I know where my votes will be spent and if you need a little reminder, have a gander and then get VOTING …
