St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th 2013
I was going to blog about what’s happening around Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day. Then I thought it might be nice to blog about what’s happening outside Ireland. What I finally decided on was a mishmash of all things St. Patrick’s Day. Some randomness to get you in the St. Patrick’s Day mood for this Sunday. So whether you’ll be heading in to check out the local parade in your village, town or city. Whether you’ll be wearing a shamrock or dressing from head to toe in green. Whether you will be sipping on tea or lashing the pints into you. Whether you were born in Ireland, now live in Ireland or have never been. Whether your mother is Irish, your father’s fathers father was Irish or you have no connection to Ireland at all. Whether you know the story of why there are no snakes in Ireland or whether you still believe there are, there is one thing that is for certain, and that is … there will most likely be no escaping the fact that it is St. Patrick’s Day no matter where in the world you are … and you are Irish or can be Irish for the day … but only if you want to be … and sure why wouldn’t you … sure ya’d be mad not to!
