The Summit Film

The Summit – An Irish Film

The Summit

The Summit. The deadliest day on the world’s most dangerous mountain!

Well my ticket has been booked and paid for. The Summit will be shown in the Savoy as part of the Jameson International Film Festival, Dublin. I am so looking forward to seeing it! … And you only need to read the recent headlines to know that I’m not alone! It won one of the top prizes at the Sundance Film Festival and has been bought by a major US distributor. Whoop! Well done! and go us Irish!

For more info you can visit The Summit Website here at thesummitfilm.com … but for now here’s a little taster of what it’s all about …

  1. Wow! I loved it! A total recommendation if you get the chance go see it!

As it was the Irish premiere and the Jameson International Film Festival this evening, we had the pleasure of Q&A time with the Director Nick Ryan and got a chance to personally applaud some of the production team and Ger McDonnell’s Brother and Brother-in-law. 🙂

  2. The Summit at the Jameson International Film Festival 2013

The film/documentary was brilliantly directed and told the real story of what happened back in 2008 on K2. Watching it and learning about Ger McDonnell livened my Irish pride but also helped me understand the love and desire of those who reach for The Summit!
