Festivals in April 2019 on the Island of Ireland

April 2019 and here’s a beautiful short poem about April rain. And we certainly know about the rain here. Those April Showers. But I’m glad we do. The grass is greener, and flowers bloom.

While curating this April 2019 listing I looked back on my post: What’s On: Festivals this April 2018 on the Island of Ireland. And I see some festivals have changed, while others not all.

I missed the boat on the Limerick Fringe Festival this month. It took place from April 3rd to April 6th, and looked as creative as ever. Limerick hasn’t been forgotten though and it features in my top picks a little further on in this post, albeit not a festival. It Takes a Village is in May this year, and not April. So keep an eye out for May’s post. And I can’t find an update on the Shore Shots Film Festival that took place in Sligo April 18. Answers on a postcard, or in the comment section below if you know about that.
