Festivals this March 2018 on the Island of Ireland
There’s more to March than St. Patrick’s Day Festival’s on this wee Island. Of course it goes without saying you should show some support for your nearest Paddy’s Day Féile, (and that’s Paddy not Patty, my American cousins) whether that be the extravaganza that takes place in Dublin City, or the town parades showcasing local dance and sporting clubs, and a few tractors, trailers and vintage cars – thrown in for good measure.
No, there is definitely more to March than Paddy’s Day and here are the Festivals you should know about:
March 2018
Festival: Belfast Arts Weekender
Where: Various Locations, Belfast

“Belfast Arts Weekender will see two packed weekends of creative events across the city in the first two weekends of March: 2-4 March and 10-11 March. The initiative aims to animate different corners of the city through a varied range of interesting and free collaborative cultural events including music, film, visual art, theatre and urban art.
Our partner organisations, who are organising these events, include Eastside Arts, Aisling Ghéar Theatre Company, Duncairn Arts Centre, the Ulster Orchestra, Kabosh Theatre Company, the Accidental Theatre Company and the Golden Thread Gallery.” (belfastcity.gov.uk)
