Let Them Eat Cake - Yelp Dublin and 9 Crow Street

Save the Date – Saturday May 24th – The Back Door, 58 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 at 3pm

One event that should be in your diary is next Saturday’s Let Them Eat Cake, brought to you by Yelp and 9 Crow Street with all proceeds, yes ALL PROCEEDS, going to BeLongTo.

As you know I am a big fan of Yelp. I’m also a big fan of 9 Crow Street, you’ll hear more from me about them at a later date but for now just check out their website here. Add to the pot an event that is raising funds for BelongTo – Ireland’s National Organisation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) young people aged between 14 and 23 and I’m all over it like the icing on a cake … and speaking of sweet thangs here’s what to expect when you do attend …

… eccentric entertainment, including Dublin’s greatest burlesque talent, Bella A-Go-Go and inspirational speaker Sinead Gibney. There will be tea, cocktails, decadent gift bags, and even a chauffeur to drive all guests to the event!

Food will be curated from some of the finest Dublin based eateries which include; The Black Door, Krust Bakery, Birdcage, Cheesecake, Murphy’s Ice Cream, Meat & Meet, Delicious Food Company, Oishii Sushi, El Gringo Mexican, The Natural Bakery, Antoinette’s Bakery and Bell & Pot, with the Official Tea Pourer on the day being the one and only Barry’s Tea.

Along with the ‘decadent gift bags’ there will be a chance to win Forbidden Fruit weekend passes and an entire outfit from 9 Crow Street …. so if that can’t tempt you with parting with €25.00 here’s a little bit about BeLongTo that should …

BeLongTo’s mission is …

To provide safe and fun services to LGBT young people across Ireland, which:

Facilitate them through exploration, development and growth
Enable them to access their rights as equal citizens
Empower then to participate as agents in positive social change
And to provide advocacy and campaigning voice so that society respects LGBT young people as full and valued members.
