St. Patrick’s Day 2024
Climb Croagh Patrick or wear green from head to toe. Pin a bunch of shamrock to your lapel, or wear a ‘Kiss me I’m Irish t-shirt’. Eat some authentic Irish food, drink stout with a shamrock on top, Irish whiskey or a nice cup of tae. Sing an Irish ballad, or dance a reel. Be in a St Patrick’s Day Festival parade, watch it from the sidelines, or on ‘the T.V.’.
Whichever way you celebrate St Patrick’s Day, make sure you give it a nod. Sure isn’t it only mighty to be Irish. And if you’re not Irish, then you’re sure to find a friendly one on St. Patrick’s Day – who is only too happy to tell you how great it is to be from this green isle!

The following festivals and parades are the biggest known St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the world. However that’s not to say your local village or town celebration isn’t worth shouting about – so if you can, show your support! And on that note – my own children will be celebrating and walking in our local parade in Athy, Co. Kildare for the second year running! A super way to make memories and celebrate our community.
