GUINNESS STOREHOUSE and A FOUR DAY ST PATRICK’S DAY FESTIVAL
With The Coronas kicking off St. Patrick’s Festival at the Home of Guinness, The Guinness Storehouse, the next question can only be ‘Where do I sign up?’ The Festival which is now in its ninth year, will run from March 14th – 17th and will kick off on Friday 14th with an intimate performance by the aforementioned, The Coronas. To make the night even more special One Lucky Fan will get the chance to meet The Coronas after the gig! To be in with a chance of being that One Lucky Fan, head over to the Guinness Storehouse Facebook page at www.facebook.com/guinnessstorehouse and enter the competition but remember it’s strictly over 18’s only.
… As well as the exclusive and intimate performance by The Coronas on the Friday, the Storehouse will be transformed into the ultimate rugby hub on Saturday 15th when Ireland takes on France in their final RBS 6 Nations Championship match. Rugby fans will be in for a treat with Newstalk’s ‘Off The Ball’ broadcasting live with Ger Gilroy hosting an Irish Rugby Legend panel of Marcus Horan and Malcolm O’Kelly and injured Irish International Stephen Ferris. There’s sure to be lots of entertainment on the 2nd Floor of the Storehouse when over 150 rugby fans get together to listen in on pre-match analysis and insights. Those die-hard fans will also be happy to know that all RBS 6 Nations rugby matches will be shown throughout the seven-story Guinness Storehouse building over the course of the day.
The culinary team at the Guinness Storehouse have gone all out to mark the occasion that is Brian O’Driscoll’s last international rugby match. Lucky fans and visitors to the Storehouse over the weekend will be able to celebrate and let Brian’s last match inspired special edition dish ‘Rugby Ball Pie’ soak up their tears and if pies don’t float your boat, which I doubt, there’ll also be a specially designed Guinness burger bar on site too. Of course a visit to the Guinness Storehouse wouldn’t be a real visit without a pint of the black stuff and visitors can enjoy a pint of Guinness in the Gravity Bar which overlooks Dublin City, and if that’s not enough you can even learn how to pour your own perfect whilst enjoying a selection of Irish music throughout the weekend.
