The Body Shop NEW Almond Milk and Honey Collection
The new Almond Milk and Honey Collection from The Body Shop is now readily available from your local store. Specifically designed and made for those with sensitive/dry skin, this body care range not only cares for the skin you’re in, but also the world you live in.
Yes, as with all The Body Shop products this new collection is cruelty free but it doesn’t stop there, and here’s why …
The Body Shop work with ‘Manan’ in Spain to source their almond ingredient. Manan are known as the ‘Almond Experts’ and only use sustainable farming methods to produce the hydrating almond oil used in The Body Shop products. But it still doesn’t stop there because that gorgeous honey you find in this new collection, yes well it’s Community Trade honey from Ethiopia. Fantastic ingredients, a brilliant ethos … I was almost sold before I even tried the products, but of course I had to test them …

A few weeks ago you may have seen a post on The Life of Stuff Facebook, Twitter or Instagram letting you know that I’d just received a surprise gift from The Body Shop Ireland. Inside the wonderfully wrapped parcel were four products from the new The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Collection.
I couldn’t wait to try them, and actually did bathe in the Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Caring Bath Milk the same night. I then used the Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Protecting Body Butter and the Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Lotion before getting into my pj’s for the evening. The next morning I used the Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Caring Shower Cream followed by the aforementioned lotion and body butter and you know what? I’ve been using them since! To cut a short story shorter – I’m a big fan of this collection!, but I’m sure you want to know why.

Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Caring Bath Milk
I’d like to say that the first night I tried the Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Caring Bath Milk, Patrick, my hubby had run the bath, lit candles and put on some soothing music for me to listen to as I soaked the evening away. The reality however was quite different. Patrick did run the bath, but my experience was minus candles and soothing music, and plus a 23 month old toddler, rubber ducks, splashing and song singing, and you know what I wouldn’t change it for the world, I love our bath times together. I did get my ‘me time’ after Smith, our toddler was removed (couldn’t think of a better word for it), and only briefly disturbed for a good night kiss, but you couldn’t call that a disturbance, more a welcoming, and one I’d never miss.
So what has my experience above got to do with the Calming & Caring Bath Milk? A lot really. Smith is a toddler. I don’t use anything on his skin apart from bath and body lotions specifically made for his young and sensitive skin (often these are recommended by doctors or experts). The Bath Milk is so kind to sensitive and dry skin, that I had no issues with him bathing in it. The results were that his baby soft skin stayed baby soft, and my skin was left conditioned and silky smooth. A win, win!
Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Caring Shower Cream
Like the Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Caring Bath Milk, the Sooth & Caring Shower Cream does just what it says it should do. It soothes and cares. It gives a nice lather so you don’t need to use too much in the shower when washing. It smells fresh and clean, not overly sweet which I can’t abide, and it left my skin feeling squeaky clean and soft at the same time.

I find that wintery, cold weather seasons are the times of year that my skin often feels driest. It’s a mixture of the lack of natural sunlight and the addition of artificial heating.
Both of these products have helped keep my skin feeling soft since I started using them a few weeks ago. I use the lotion all over and the body butter on my belly … why? because I’m pregnant!, and what better way to pamper a growing bump than rubbing a gorgeous body butter all over it. In fact I love it so much I’ve added it to my post ‘The Ultimate Shopping List for You, A First Time Mom‘ … alongside my previous The Body Shop favourite Coconut Body Butter.
