Listen of the Week – The Radioactive Grandma, The Radioactive Grandma

The Radioactive Grandma – The Radioactive Grandma

The Radioactive Grandma

Now I’m not in the habit of repeating myself (bet you read this and thought of killinaskully – that’s if you’ve seen the show) … Anyhoo if you follow the blog you probably know by now that I’m a big fan of The Radioactive Grandma and I have featured them in a couple of posts, most recently The Zodiac Sessions post and earlier An Interview with The Radioactive Grandma … well I’m featuring them again! This time as my Listen of the Week with their self-titled album. The Radioactive Grandma are ‘alternative acoustic indie rock’ band, I robbed that from their Facebook ‘about’ section, and as I’ve already interviewed the lads you can read the interview I did with them if you’d like to know more about them – I thoughtfully provided the links above. As mentioned in previous Listen of the Week posts I don’t dissect albums or describe in detail what I love about my choices … What I will do this evening though is mention and ask you to vote for them in Hot Press’ The Big Break if you like what you hear and have a couple of minutes to share (check them out on Bandcamp here). They’re a lovely trio of talented musicians that basically deserve a Big Break! Here’s the link to vote : Here

For your enjoyment I have included two great videos to two great songs from the album. The first is track 3, Another Wasted Line … bloody love the vid! The second is track 2 from the album, Don’t Look down. Enjoy!
