Hen’s Teeth Prints
New Irish website curates exclusive, affordable artwork from
contemporary Irish & global artists
Hensteethprints.com is a new Irish online store offering affordable, contemporary art from a specially curated roster of Irish and international artists. The majority of the artworks will be limited edition and commissioned exclusively for the online store.
Brought to you by two of the guys who run the hugely successful This Greedy Pig, Greg Spring and Russell Simmons have previously dallied in and refined their offering with an online print store – along with a clothes store, general cultural musings and great parties under the This Greedy Pig moniker.
Hen’s Teeth Prints aims to open up the affordable art market in Ireland with high-profile Irish and international artists creating special, exclusive pieces for the online store. The pieces will have a typical print run of 50, with photographic pieces having a smaller run of 10 and will vary in price depending on the format (screenprint; giclee etc) from €40 to €400.
Greg commented, “We’ve always had a hankering for strong and interesting art works and really enjoyed curating sellout pieces for This Greedy Pig. With Hen’s Teeth Prints, we wanted to take it a step further and actually commission pieces directly with artists we love and respect. We’re offering them at great, affordable prices so people can buy interesting pieces that aren’t hanging on the wall of every friend’s house they visit.”
Russell continued, “We knew it was time for Hen’s Teeth Prints when we saw how many lame, inspirational quote canvases were walking out the doors of shops on the high street. We figured people deserved better for their walls. It was our duty to launch Hen’s Teeth Prints.”
Hen’s Teeth Prints will also offer a corporate art curation service.
