54 days to Christmas from November 1st – a time of year you either love, hate or sit on the fence on – looking out at both fields, side-eyed. If you’re organised you’ll know where you stand with get togethers and gifts.

If you’re not, don’t lose your head, you’ll get there, you usually do – keep an eye out for local markets, Christmas markets, local arts and crafts, online sales and money-off vouchers – because every little helps. But as I always say – it’s your presence that’s important, not your presents.
