5 Fabulous Facial Oils – Irish and International Natural Skincare

Natural and Nourishing Skincare

Part of my skincare routine includes facial oils – I find them easy to apply early morning before I apply moisturiser or sunscreen. Or late at night after I’ve cleansed. They’re nourishing for the skin and the brands I use contain lots of natural ingredients. To apply a facial oil is simple

  1. Apply a few drops to the palm of your hand.
  2. Spread the oil onto your fingers.
  3. Gently press on your face, and pat in an use upward circular motion.
  4. Ensure even distribution.
  5. You’re good to go!

This article features five of my favourite Irish and international facial oils to date.

But First, How’s Your Skincare Routine?

Cleanse, tone, moisturise, and exfoliate at least once or twice a week. It’s an easy routine to get into. But it’s also easy to fall out of. I wore makeup everyday when I worked outside of home. And it’s during this time my skincare routine was at its best. In return for my loyal skincare routine came great-looking, soft and smooth skin.

Now that I work from home, I wear makeup much less. Which is why I did expect my skin to look its best. But I got complacent and my routine slipped down a a skincare slope. It’s back on track now, the simple skincare steps skipped through as opposed to skipped over. And my skin is prepped and ready for when my makeup bag makes an appearance.

Beauty Tip: Remember that most foundations and makeup contains SPF and so if you are going makeup free, do use a moisturiser with SPF or simply apply sunscreen.

5 Fabulous Facial Oils - Irish and International Natural Skincare - Voya Facial Serum

voya.ie

You’ll see from my image above that my VOYA My Little Hero Facial Serum isn’t the full size 30ml bottle that’s available to buy. That’s because I bought it as part of a trial set with VOYA moisturiser for €15. Buying the trial size version of a product before you commit to a full size version is often a great way of getting to know a product.

Packed full of oils from seaweed to green algae extract with little sulphates included, there’s a reason this serum is on this facial oils list!

And the great thing is, like the aforementioned Ecooking Multi Oil, Jäsön Vitamin E oil can be used all over your body – from your head to your toes! In fact they even recommend you add a few drops to you hand and body lotions.

Side note: I’m not a huge fan of almond smelling products however the oil absorbs easy leaving a soft feel and mild natural aroma – so don’t worry you won’t smell like marzipan.
