Organic Surge Skincare
The message of ‘Discover Organic Surge today – Use it Once, Love it Forever!’ rang loud and clear on the press release that accompanied the Organic Surge samples I received recently. Of course only by testing out the samples would this message prove true to me and here I am to tell you if I will love it!
… But let’s get to know Organic Surge a little before I tell you about the products I’ve been using.
Organic Surge are a British based company. They have over 1 million satisfied customers and they specialise in providing skincare that is Ecocert certified. This means that all their products contain a minimum of 96% naturally derived ingredients.
Organic Surge uses pure plant extracts and fragrant essential oils. They clinically and dermatologically test all their products to make sure they are suitable for the skin types they are aimed for.
You won’t find nasties like parabens, SLS’s, mineral oils, petroleum, artificial fragrances, colourants or genetically modified ingredients in their products because as I mentioned their products are Ecocert certified.
Importantly as a skincare brand that respects all things natural, they are cruelty free. They only test the products on their own staff and industry professionals. In fact as well as being suitable for vegetarians, most of their products are vegan friendly too!
Knowing all this before I even tried the samples I received, got me thinking I was falling in love already! … but here are my reviews …
The samples I received were Organic Surge Super Intensive Moisturiser from the Daily Care range and Organic Surge Hydrating Eye Cream from the Extra Care range.
Organic Surge Intensive Moisturiser RRP €16.99
“A surge of moisture. A rich blend of nut butters, jojoba and grape seed oils bring welcome moisture to dry and uncomfortable tight feeling skin. With added chamomile and green tea extracts, this silky cream will be a joy to use, and helps to reveal your natural beauty“
This moisturiser is aimed at Dry/Mature Skin and is suitable for sensitive skin. Although I wouldn’t normally classify my skin as either dry or mature, however it was in need of some extra loving care when I decided to test run this cream. I had just come back from a number travel trips which had exposed my skin to the harshities of the sun (I always uses sunscreen by the way), the sea, air conditioning and early morning rises.
The first thing I noticed about the Super Intensive Moisturiser was its fresh and non intrusive smell. The cream itself appears thick but is almost moose like. It is far from greasy, something a lot of intensive moisturisers are susceptible to. It feels cool going on and dries almost instantly which was really impressive. It left my skin feeling soft and conditioned so it did exactly what it said it would.
Organic Surge Hydrating Eye Cream RRP €23.32
“Gently rejuvenate the eye area with this lightweight blend of natural, mineral rich, moisturising ingredients“
I’ve mentioned her on The Life of Stuff before that I left using eye creams quite late in life compared to some who use them in their early twenties. I didn’t feel the need to use them. Nowadays I’m all over them. Not because I suddenly noticed a huge change around my eyes but because I noticed fine lines and wanted to attack them before they got the better of me. As well as keeping hydrated from the inside, it’s important to keep your skin hydrated. This eye cream is light to the feel, smells fresh and dries in quickly. It is perfect for applying in the morning before you put on your makeup and at night after you take your makeup off. Like my review of the Organic Surge Super Intensive Moisturiser, this product also does what it says it will do.
*****
Organic products, that are cruelty free, nasties free, do what they say will do AND are affordable at the same time … sure what’s not to love about Organic Surge!
