Falesco, Le Pòggere Est! Est!! Est!!!
For this week’s Bevvy of the Week – I would like to recommend a great white wine from Italy called Le Poggere Est! Est!! Est!!! from Falesco in Est! Est!! Est!!! di Montefiascone. Est! Est!! Est!!! di Montefiascone is a well-known wine region north-west of Rome in central Italy’s Lazio region.
Falesco – Le Poggere Est! Est!! Est!!! white wine is produced from three Italian grape varieties Trebbiano, Malvasia and Riscetto, with Trebbiano accounting for 50% of the blend.
This wine is meant to be drunk young. Aromas of apples and citrus fruits can be found on the nose and flavours of pears and melons follow through on the palate.
This really is a great summer wines. It has loads of fruit character and very lively acidity. You won’t find this wine just anywhere so a little looking around will be needed but a good Off Licence should have it.
A bottle will cost around €15 and it’s worth it.
Enjoy, Sláinte,
Patrick
