Here at The Life of Stuff we’re on our own sustainable living journey, taking it step by step, one change at a time. And thanks to a new series produced by National Geographic CreativeWorks and featuring National Geographic Explorers we’re certain we’ll find some answers as the experts share their knowledge and real-world advice on key sustainability topics related to the beauty industry.

6 Garnier Green Beauty Facts – Did you know?
- Garnier more than doubled its use of recycled plastic in packaging – 3,670 tons in 2019 versus 9,019 tons in 2020. By 2025, Garnier will aim to use Zero Virgin Plastic in all packaging, saving 40,000 tonnes of plastic every year.
- Today almost half (49%) of industrial sites are now Carbon Neutral. Garnier will have 100% Carbon Neutral industrial sites by 2025, through the use of renewable energy. Today CO2 emissions of industrial sites have already been reduced by 72%.
- Today 787 communities are empowered through the Garnier Solidarity Sourcing program for ingredients – that’s versus 670 communities in 2019. By 2025 Garnier will have empowered 1000 communities worldwide as part of their Solidarity sourcing programme.
- 97% of new or renovated products have an improved environmental or social profile. By 2025, 100% of Garnier’s new products will have an improved environmental profile.
- Today 99% of ingredients are vegan. By 2022, all plant-based and renewable ingredients will be sustainably sourced. All Garnier products, globally, are approved by Cruelty Free International under the Leaping Bunny programme.
- Garnier commits to Green Beauty – a complete end to end approach to sustainability. The aim is to transform every stage of Garnier’s value chain, reducing or eradicating environmental impact.
