My Pumpkin Carving Experience in Photos
Have you read my post on Halloween Jack-O’-Lantern Carving? You can here – it has some interesting history on the tradition and some inspirational images too.
My pumpkin carving experience or should I say ‘our experience’ as I did rope my fiancé in, was great fun and we got stuck into this Irish Tradition of carving Jack O’ Lanterns … for prep we bought pumpkins … obviously. The ones we got were a little on the small size and I think it might have been easier with larger ones as we probably would have had more room to experiment with but it was our first time so … one step at a time.
I bought two pumpkin carving packs in the cheapy shop for €1.49 each! We didn’t use the shapes but the little knife and scoop were absolutely great! The Stanley knives were used to tidy up edges and the tinfoil to gather the pumpkin guts.
Don’t forget to keep the seeds as you can roast them later nom nom! Anyhoo this is our experience in photos. We loved it and are quite chuffed with the results … enjoy!
