4 Signs Your Diet isn’t Working For Your Body
If you know that your diet is in severe need of an overhaul, then it won’t just be your waistline that is suffering. Sure, weight gain can indicate that it is time for you to rethink what you are putting into your body, but at the end of the day, evidence has also shown that there are many other health issues that have roots in your habits. If you want to find out more, then simply take a look below at four signs your diet isn’t working for your body.
1 – Your Hair is like Straw
Your organs need to have a good level of nutrition if you want them to function properly. Healthy hair follicles are really no exception. Starvation diets can lead you to experiencing energy malnutrition and this can cause brittle hair. Even worse, you may find that you experience hair loss.
Studies have shown that diets that are low in protein, fatty acids, nutrients and more are all associated with hair loss, thinning or even loss of pigmentation. Aim to try and consume more sources of lean protein, such as eggs or salmon. You may also want to try and consume more fruit and vegetables, seeds and nuts.

If your diet isn’t good enough, you may find that you’re more prone to infections, and could even be increasing your chance of developing a UTI. Heartburn is also a major issue for those who have poor diets. If you are struggling with these issues now, you can pick up some UTI medicine or heartburn tablets at your local pharmacy or online. And if these issues persist – always visit your GP for professional advice.
2 – Your Skin is Ageing
Ageing truly is inevitable. That being said, there is a lot of research that shows that a nutritious diet can promote healthy skin and this can delay the signs of ageing more than you realise. Studies have shown that diets that are rich in Vitamins A, D, C and even E are very beneficial for the skin.
If you want to get all of the benefits and if you want to have a way more youthful appearance, then you need to try and consume around 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day.

3 – Your Oral Health is Bad
Bleeding gums and cavities are also a sign of a poor diet. Too much sugar can be a real culprit for cavities. If you find yourself at the dentist for fillings all the time, then you need to think about how much sugary drinks and food you are consuming. If you have bleeding gums often then this may mean that you aren’t getting enough Vitamin C and K in your diet. Strawberries, tomatoes, leafy greens, potatoes and even vegetables are all ideal if you want to boost your diet in general.

4 – Your Brain is Drained
Do you have a problem with your memory? Maybe you have an issue with your concentration. Fatigue is another major issue as well, and if you experience anything like this, then you need to try and make a change. An adequate intake of Omega-3 fatty acids are very important, and it will play a huge part in your cognitive development.
If you want to get more Omega-3 in your diet, then you need to try and choose foods high in the fatty acid, such as walnuts or flaxseed, or fish such as mackerel, tuna, salmon, sardines and herring. Adding these ingredients will really help you to make the most out of your diet and will help you be much more energetic during the day. It will even improve your memory which is always a good thing.
