The Forbidden Fruit Festival is one of Dublin’s biggest and most exciting annual events. According to The Irish Times “A festival like this has been a long time coming, one that combines music, art, fashion and simple good vibes into a two-day city-based event”. Only one more month to go, so it’s definitely time to start preparing yourself in case you are interested in attending the festival. And this is a quick lowdown to give you the most important information for the 2014 Forbidden Fruit Festival.

Dates and location

This year’s fabulous edition will be taking place over the weekend of Saturday May 31st and Sunday June 1st. The festival takes place in Dublin on the grounds surrounding the Irish Museum of Modern Art. This location is easily reachable by bus from the city centre as there is no onsite parking should you wish to travel to the festival by car. Following its huge success last year, the Bulmer’s Pear Comedy tent will be returning this year. The complete line-up is yet to be announced but it will almost certainly be bigger, better and a whole lot funnier than last year’s event. A number of Ireland’s up-and-coming comedians will be taking to the stage with one simple aim; to make you laugh your socks off!


Tickets for Dublin’s Forbidden Fruit Festival are currently available to purchase online. You will be able to purchase general day tickets or two-day tickets as well as a limited number of Early Bird two-day passes. Make sure that you bring your ID as this is a strictly over 18 event.
