Beauty Fix – Sleek MakeUP Eyes, Lips and Cheeks

Sleek MakeUP Eyes, Lips and Cheeks

Sleek Make Up - Eyes Lips and Cheeks I recently got my delighted little hands on a mini haul of Sleek MakeUp products. The haul consisted of Sleek MakeUp’s i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Original, Face Form in Light, Blush in Rose Gold, Matte Me Lip Cream in Petal, True Colour Lipstick Sheen in Peaches & Cream and True Colour Lipstick Matte in Heartbreaker. I was already a fan of Sleek MakeUp’s Face Form which you’ll read about below but I hadn’t tried any of the other products before so I had lots of fun with the colour palettes and making myself up so that I could give an honest review of each product for you.

Face Form

Sleek Make Up Cheeks

I was first introduced to Sleek MakeUp last October when I was stocking up on lots of makeup goodies in Sephora in Portugal. The Sales Assistant there was really helpful at (helping me overload my shopping basket) recommending different makeup products and perfumes. One product she recommended was Sleek MakeUp Face Form. It’s a contouring and blush palette that quickly became one of my makeup essentials. I wear the Light colour and love it because not only does the highlighter and blush remind me of Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick but at €13 it’s also a bloody steal!

For the best results just follow the step by step guidelines on www.sleekmakeup.com … which I’ve quoted below

Step One:
Prep your skin ensuring face and neck are clean and dry.
Step Two:
Apply foundation of choice to create a smooth and even complexion.
Step Three:
To achieve great cheek definition, using a small contour brush, apply the contour powder, starting from the ear and gently blending towards the direction of your mouth, building definition as desired and blending as you to go, to ensure all lines are soft.
Step Four:
For Face Form in Fair/Light apply blush to apples of cheeks using contour brush or blush brush, ensuring you blend as you go, erasing all hard lines.
For Face Form in Medium/Dark apply bronzer to cheeks, nose, forehead and chin sparingly to add that sun-kissed look.
Step Five:
Finally, apply the highlighter lightly to the apples of the cheeks for a highlighted contour creating soft, yet defined and sculpted cheekbones.

i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette

Sleek Make Up Eyes

This is Sleek MakeUP’s i-Divine palette in Original and I am so in love with how the eyeshadow glides on, glistens and lasts all day that I have my eye on their Au Natural, Storm and Oh So Special palettes too. I was and am so impressed with how the colour stays on all day. This palette as with most from what I can see are perfect for taking you from day to night. At €10 sure where would you be going? … a great addition to your makeup collection and an excellent buy for all you music festivals goers! This should take you from early morning through to … early morning and if you lose it in a tent somewhere you won’t be too heartbroken as you most likely will afford a new one in no time!

Blush

Sleek Make Up - Eyes Lips and Cheeks

The Blush in Rose Gold has a gorgeous glisten to it. I love the shade and it gives my cheeks a lovely healthy flush. Sleek MakeUP’s website recommends the following when applying …

Use a blusher brush or slanted contour brush to gently sweep blush across the apples of your cheeks, building up the colour to your desired finish. (www.sleekmakeup.com)

Matte Me Lip Cream and True Colour Lipstick

Beauty Fix - Sleek MakeUP Eyes, Lips and CheeksMy Gawd you can only look at photo’s of your own lips for so long … the more you look at them the stranger they appear! … like when you say or spell a word over and over again … anyhoo ramblings over and on to my review of Sleek MakeUp’s lip colours.

The Matte Me Lip Cream in Petal, which is picture one and costs €6.49, is a lovely fresh romantic/vintage inspired colour. The applicator is a good size, it goes on easily and has a creamy feel to it when applying it to your lips. Once on, the cream dries within seconds creating a matte effect. It does what it says on the tin. I didn’t really like the dry/matte feel to my lips but this is only my personal preference.

The True Colour Lipstick Sheen in Peaches & Cream, picture number three, although not exactly captured here had much more of a colour pop. A perfect colour for a summer BBQ or a music gig, it kind of has that 80’s feel to it. It glides on and feels smooth but I would highly recommend that your lips are soft before you wear this colour. To help with this, get a toothbrush and give your lips a gentle brush to take away dead skin. Finally the True Colour Lipstick Matte in Heartbreaker, picture number two … This was my favourite of all three. It’s part of the True Colour Lipstick collection and has a matte finish rather than a sheen finish, however it doesn’t appear dry and it felt much softer that the Matte Me Lip Cream. The colour made my lips pop, lasted the day and really complemented my complexion. I’ll definitely be purchasing more colours from the True Colour Lipstick collection … I’m loving the look of Vamp, Liquer and Stiletto and at €5.99 I’ll probably buy all three!
