Bevvy of the Week – Maui Sauvignon Blanc

Maui Sauvignon Blanc

This week I would like to recommend a white wine from the Marlborough region in New Zealand, Maui Sauvignon Blanc.

Bevvy of the Week - Maui Sauvignon Blanc
New Zealand produce some top class Sauvignon Blanc’s and the Marlborough region has become famous the world over for their wines, so much so that people will ask for a wine from that particular region. There are 10 wine-producing regions in New Zealand, all producing great wines but it’s the Marlborough region on the south island that produce the best.

Maui Sauvignon Blanc is a light refreshing wine. It has elderflower and tropical fruits flavours and has a long and lasting finish. A bottle of Maui will cost around €15.

This is one for the Sauv – Blanc lovers and remember don’t over chill your white wine. If a wine is too cold the flavors become lost. An hour or two in the fridge should do it.

Enjoy, Sláinte,

Patrick
