Protos Crianza
This week’s Bevvy is a Spanish red from the northern wine-producing region Ribera del Duero called Protos Crianza.
Aged in French and American oak for fourteen months and a further twelve months in bottle before it is released for sale, the result is a deep coloured, full-bodied wine. Lots of dark fruit flavours along with a soft oak present. Good lingering toasty finish.
This wine packs a punch at 14.5% abv but it’s very tasty and really enjoyable.
A bottle will cost around €23 per 750ml bottle.
Enjoy, Sláinte,
Patrick
