Coole Swan – Premium Irish Cream Liqueur
Upon the brimming water among the stones are nine and fifty swans – W.B Yeats.
The poem The Wild Swans at Coole by W.B Yeats is the inspiration behind the name of Ireland’s premium Irish cream Liqueur Coole Swan. This multi-award winning liqueur was introduced to the market in 2007 and has gone from strength to strength, and rightly so. Produced in Co. Meath, Ireland, it has won two gold medals in the World Spirit Competition in San Francisco and won many more accolades throughout the years.

So what makes Coole Swan different from other Irish Cream Liqueurs?
Everything. First and foremost the drink. Coole Swan is produced using Single Malt Irish Whiskey, Fresh Irish Cream and the finest White Belgian Chocolate. It sounds delicious and it is. It took the team at Coole Swan 230 attempts to get it right and I’d say they had fun testing each brew. Second the packaging. The packaging is really ‘coole’ and sleek. The bottle looks fantastic and feels great. Thirdly the story. I love hearing about family run drink businesses. For me it indicates care, attention, dedication, love and passion. And this really shows through on the finished product.
Coole Swan for me is an absolute winner. Soft, smooth and easy to drink. The quality of the Irish whiskey really shows through and brings a warmness to it, even when chilled.
This Premium Irish Cream Liqueur, that is ‘made only in Ireland’, comes in a 700ml bottle and is 16% ABV. You will get it in all good Off-Licences or from their online store. A bottle will set you back around €25.00.
Enjoy, Sláinte,
Patrick
