McGargles – Irish Family Brewers
For this week’s Bevvy of the Week I would like to put you on to a few really tasty Irish beers from the family of Mcgargles (aka Rye River Brewing Company). Yes the name just shouts Irish as we Irish do like a gargle.
Knock Knock Ned 6.5% abv IPA : This is a soft easy drinking IPA . Nice hoppy character and a bit of sweet fruit.
Gravy Maevey’s 5%abv Pilsner : This is my favourite of the three. It’s hoppy, fruity and goes down a treat.
Granny Mary’s 4.4% abv Red Ale : I’m a fan of Red Ales and I’m a fan of this one now too. It has subtle malt and hop flavours and a soft bitterness to it.
Not only are these brews really tasty, their bottling and labels are great. There are funny stories on the bottles to keep you entertained as you sit back and sip back.
You can buy the Mcgargles beer’s for around the €2 mark.

Alcoholic Drinks that is. Beers, wines and spirits. And sometimes cocktails too. He's quite the expert really. With tons of academic and professional experience in the Drinks Industry in Ireland. Nowadays drink talk is a hobby, and he likes to share his knowledge here on The Life of Stuff. And that's why we love his Bevvy of the Week recommendations.
