Poggio al Casone – Chianti Superiore
This weeks Bevvy of the Week comes form the Tuscany region in Italy and is Poggio al Casone Chianti Superiore. Tuscany is the region responsible Chianti along with other wines however Chianti is the largest classification within the Tuscany region.

Chianti Superiore is made from 90% Sangiovese grape and from 10% Canaiolo grape. The wine is very fruit driven with flavours of cherries really shining through. Light and easy drinking.
Chianti can be hit and miss sometimes and can vary a lot from produces to produces however this one is a good one and well worth a go.
A bottle of Poggio al Casone Chianti Superiore will cost around €15 per 75cl bottle and is a tasty 12.5% abv.
