Bevvy of the Week – Porterhouse XXXX Full On Stout

Porterhouse XXXX Full On Stout

This week’s Bevvy of the Week comes from the world renowned Irish brewery, Porterhouse Brew Co.

The Porterhouse Brewing Company have been brewing exceptional beers as far back as 1983, when founders Oliver Hughes and Liam Lahart opened their brewery in Co. Wicklow, back then it was called Harty’s Brewery.

The first Porterhouse pub opened in 1989 in Bray, Co. Wicklow, right on the seafront. And seven years later they opened their first Dublin pub, all the while selling an amazing array of world and craft beers from around the world, and producing their own famous brews.

In 1998 all their hard work paid off, as their plain porter won best stout in the world at the brewing industry awards and again in 2012.

About Porterhouse XXXX Full On Stout

This is the reason I’m always interested in any stout or indeed ale produced by Porterhouse, and this weeks Bevvy, Porthouse XXXX Full On Stout has not let the side down.

Packed full of flavours from the malt and barley blend, this stout is rich and full with a warm lingering toasty finish. Best enjoyed at room temperature to really enjoy the flavours.

Available in a 440ml can with an abv of 5%. A can of this good stuff will cost around €3 and available in all good Off-Licences.

Enjoy, Sláinte
