New Zealand Zesty – Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc
This week’s Bevvy of the Week is a white wine from the Marlborough region in New Zealand called Villa Maria and is made with 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
It’s been a while since I’ve had New Zealand Sauv Blanc, for reasons I don’t know. I love their zesty style and that unmistakable gooseberry character and Villa Maria wasn’t left wanting.
In true Marlborough style Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc is a very approachable wine. It’s zesty with hints of lime and tropical fruits. Elderflower and gooseberry flavours are the backbone of the wine which leads to a long and lingering finish. A great wine to relax with on these long sunny evenings.
Villa Maria is a mainstream New Zealand wine so it won’t be hard to find. It’s ABV is 13% and it will cost you around €11.
