Bevvy of the Week – Cocktail Time with a Mojito Recipe

Cocktail Time – Mojito

It’s cocktail time again for this weeks Bevvy of the Week and Mojito is the cocktail of choice.

I love this cocktail. It’s one of those cocktails that isn’t too fancy but is really refreshing on a lazy, sunny afternoon. When made correctly, it’s hard to beat a Mojito.

Bevvy of the Week - Cocktail Time with a Mojito Recipe

As with other the cocktail recipes I have featured here on The Life of Stuff, I like to keep it simple. This week’s Mojito is no different. So here it is. Simple.

  • 2 shots of white rum
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 4-5 sprigs of mint
  • Half shot of sugar syrup
  • A dash of Angostura
  • Soda water

Crush the mint in the bottom of the glass, add the lime shell and fill the glass with crushed ice. Put the rum, lime juice, Angostura and syrup in a shaker and shake, shake, shake. Strain that lovely mixture into the glass you prepared earlier and top up with the soda.

That’s it nice and handy.

Enjoy, Sláinte,

Patrick
