“Time flies when having Rum”, “Drinking Rum at 10am?, you may be a Pirate”, “Rum here, Rum there, Rum everywhere”. The list goes on with fun quotes about rum, and that’s just what rum is, fun.

Rum is one of those drinks I associate with cocktails and having a good time but there are many rums which are great for drinking neat. Appleton Estate 8yr old Jamaica Rum is one of those rums but it’s also great in cocktails too.

This rum is aged for at least 8 years and has a lovely light brown colour. It’s rich and full and has a really nice sweetness to it. If you have only ever tried Bacardi Rum and Captain Morgans Rum, give this a go. You won’t be disappointed.

A bottle of Appleton Estate 8yr old costs about €45 per bottle.
