Jameson Irish Whiskey Caskmates

Jameson are at it again. They have brought out a new whiskey called Jameson Caskmates. This Caskmates whiskey isn’t as exclusive as their last outing of Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel but having said that it is a tasty whiskey.

You may remember some time back I did a Bevvy of the Week on Franciscan Well Stout aged in Jameson whiskey barrels. Well, Jameson Caskmates whiskey is aged in Franciscan well stout barrels, so they have a good thing going on there.

Jameson Caskmates whiskey is a very approachable whiskey. Similar to normal Jameson in terms of weight and body but because of the aging in the stout it has a very nice coffee and coco taste to it but not overly.

This is a nice whiskey for sipping on or mixing with some ginger ale. You should pick up a bottle for around €35
